WebDuring the last weekend in June, 2024, William and I decided to tackle our first 14’er of the season, so we headed down to the San Juans to climb Redcloud Peak (actually our original goal was to climb both Redcloud and Sunshine, but more on that later). The hike begins at the Silver Creek/Grizzly Gulch Trailhead on County Road 30. WebSunshine is the 54th highest of the 54 Colorado 14'ers. It has the distinction of being the lowest 14'er in the United States. Be careful to not disturb the summit lest the mountain could become a 13'er!
