Webb29 aug. 2010 · For a 308 I would recommend a 3-15x50mm SF. At 15x you will still be very fast for follow up shots and will provide enough magnification at 1k. I have used a 3-15x50mm in a lot of competitions and they have worked great for me. Here is a video of me using a NF 3.5-15x50mm w/ the 0-Stop turret. Webb13 dec. 2014 · It's by design to achieve the scope's intended purpose and has nothing to do with model series (SHV vs NXS) alone, i.e., the 3.5-15x50 F1 NXS only have 3.15" (but not sure if this is at max magnification or a typo on the NF site). I too would have like to see the SHV with better eye relief, esp., for the high recoiling rifles. Good luck!
